NEW DELHI: The Centre has extended the visa of Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen, who returned earlier this month to the capital after a sojourn in Sweden.

The papers seeking extension of her visa had been processed and approval given, a Union Home Ministry spokesperson said here.

However, the spokesperson said it was not immediately clear whether the extension was for three or six months. The writer, who has been the target of Islamic fundamentalists, returned was whisked away by security agencies, earlier this month, to an undisclosed destination in the capital.
