Five party members were injured when, the CPM party headquarters in Delhi was attacked on Sunday morning allegedly by BJP and RSS workers.The office is located on Bhai Mahavir Singh Marg, where the Rapid Action Forces with water jets have been deployed in order to contain any further violence.A group of about 50 Sangh Parivar workers were protesting the killing of RSS workers in CPM stronghold Kannur in Kerala.RSS is believed to have been trying to make inroads in the past few weeks, resulting to tension in the area.But the protests turned violent that left five CPM workers injured and the party office damaged.Sitaram Yechury, CPM leader said, ''We were in a meeting. Those who were present here say BJP leader Jagdish Mukhi, the new mayor were all present.''Jagdish Mukhi said, ''We were demonstrating peacefully, they attacked us.''However, the attack brought forth a lot of sympathy from the Congress.The party leaders visited the CPM office to show their support, despite the recent differences over the nuclear deal.Veerappa Moily, Congress leader said, ''Any citizen of this country should condemn this kind of an action.''One of those who dropped in to extend support was Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit.
