Mumbai : Several shops, houses and small-scale industrial units were gutted in a fire that broke out in Dharavi slums in Central Mumbai in the wee hours on Wednesday.
However, there were no casualties, the Fire Brigade said adding the cause of the fire in Asia's largest slum was yet to be ascertained.
Firefighters battled for over two hours to extinguish the blaze which was confined to a small area, it said.
Several slum houses, shops and industrial units were gutted in the fire which broke out at around 0345 hrs, the Fire Brigade said.
