Recruit Smart with Artificial Intelligence

WhereIsMyBoss.com (WIMB) has gone one step ahead in terms of using innovative concepts of live web interviews, online presence and artificial intelligence. The site incorporates intelligence matching technology of Burning Glass Technologies (BG) for its recruitment process.
Tirupur based PGC Infotech has developed WIMB with an idea to offer cheap, quick and fraud -free recruitment process to jobseekers as well as employers. The portal bids to bring both employers and jobseekers together by scheduling, recording and reviewing video interactions between the two, instead of time and resource consuming actual interviews where one is required to be physically present at the venue. This method saves both time and money, along with generating employment.
"Most of the job portals in India have come up from the newspaper classified culture, where against the high supply of jobseekers the suitability aspect to employer is very low. While, WIMB is a unique career gateway that uses the simplest technologies to overcome complex recruitment problems," said D Prem, chairman of PGC Infotech, during the website launch at Mumbai on Thursday.
"BG Technologies' artificial intelligence will provide intuitive relevance in matching people with jobs based on its unique understanding of people and their careers. And ensure that distance and time can't be an impediment in conducting one-on-one interview on a real time basis," said Prem explaining the technical side of the web portal.
In simple terms, the website processes every resume it gets using artificial intelligence, where it reads the past work experiences of candidate and accordingly their skills and talent are predicted based on this assessment, which decides their suitability for the job.
According to Matthew Sigelman, CEO of Burning Glass, "Job portals take more time during registration, which makes recruitment process slower. In order to boost efficiency, the artificial intelligence engine reads and learns from the actual career patterns as viewed in both structured and natural language contexts." "Most robust data is often found in narrative formats rather than in form, which is analyzed and extracted directly by artificial intelligence engine.
This exhibits an intuitive, real-time and self-learning awareness of how and when people move from job-to-job and of the kinds of skills and experiences that leads to successful placement and performance in job market," Sigelman added. Further, the predications are based on the collected data that are processed and modeled on human intuition that relates the brain's ability to perceive and extrapolate from patterns. In addition, there's no keyword based process involved here but it works on pattern recognition technology.
