Satyam to strengthen revenues from consulting
HYDERABAD: 22 Dec, 2007
NYSE-listed Satyam Computer Services is set to bolster revenues from consulting services.
It plans to raise its share of revenue from this segment from 9% to 30% in five years, said a senior company official.
Satyam's consolidated revenues stood at Rs 2,031.72 crore for the second quarter of FY’08.
Extra revenues from consulting will help the company move up the value chain from providing cost effective solutions to becoming an intellectual property (IP) services provider.
In sync with this plan, the company is setting up a new Centre of Excellence (CoE) called Promice in Hyderabad for the process manufacturing industry.
It is learnt to be in talks with Arcelor Mittal to provide IT-based process excellence solutions.
